Our Annan rug is a combination of natural seagrass and dried, off-white corn husk braided by hand and stitched into a unique petal design. An assembly of 4 petals creates a brilliant two-toned floral pattern underfoot and adds a feminine touch to any space.
The Annan rug is easily tailored to any custom size when purchased with our Twine & Needle Sew Kit and Set of 12 Annan Squares. Likewise, a larger rug size may be achieved by combining two rugs. Sample and replacement squares available here.
As simply as squares can be added, they may also be taken away. To make the rug smaller, snip and remove squares to reduce square footage— or replace them altogether should an unwelcome stain occur. With minimal effort, any rug shape or size is possible, including cut-outs around fireplace hearths, bookcases, or built-ins.
Intimidated by sewing it yourself? Don’t be. It’s easier than stitching a button onto a shirt. Position the rugs and squares within your room. Then, tie them together on site. These 2 short video clips demonstrate the process. Take a look!
